Our human resources policy promotes equal opportunities.
The number of our employees with disabilities has almost tripled in three years, and we are proud that nearly 50% of the company’s top 100 executives are women.
At Maisons du Monde, we believe in people and the value to be found in our differences. We believe that everyone deserves to have every opportunity to grow and develop. As such, we have adopted a human resources management policy where everyone can find their place within a strong collective that promotes diversity and inclusion. Towards even greater equality of opportunity is the third commitment of our Good is beautiful movement.
As a responsible and civic-minded company, we continue to take concrete actions in support of two major causes: gender equality and the inclusion of people with disabilities.
Maisons du Monde promotes the commitment and empowerment of women within the company:
- 64% of internal employees are women.
- A score of 92/100 on the gender equality index in France.
- In 2022, we signed an agreement with our trade unions, with ambitious goals regarding parenthood, work-life balance, and female leadership.
- We are implementing support and awareness-raising initiatives through our Good for Women club (a pilot committee comprising 21 Maisons du Monde employees, including one man) on issues such as domestic violence, endometriosis and support for conditions such as breast cancer. This initiative is being rolled out internationally and across our Distrimag and Rhinov divisions.
As part of our disability agreement for the 2024-2026 period, we aim for a 6% employment rate for people with disabilities in France. Other initiatives have also been implemented to promote their inclusion:
- 70% of managers have received training in the recruitment, induction and retention of employees with disabilities through the ‘Becoming an Inclusive Manager’ programme.
- Deployment of a disability policy in Europe, with the launch of specific programs in Italy and Spain for the recruitment of protected individuals.
